I got a good bargain on a full size plastic replica 426 hemi and stuffed into my 68. Even though it`s fake, it put a pretty good size smile on my face. 20 pounds of plastic and it put me into a daze...dreaming again. It will make a great conversation piece when enjoying a few cold ones  with the guys.

Where can I get one? I would love to have one to sit in my garage with all the parts on it and make my brother think I bought a hemi. :nana:
It would be cool to have one, just to say you do!

Found it on craigslist. I drove two hours to go pick it up and 2 hours to get back home. They list for over $500.00 + shipping. I can`t say what I paid for it but I definately felt like I stole it.

Ok, which parts on yours are real and which aren`t? How did you get the balancer on there? Help me out here. I have a ton of spare junk here that I could use to dress mine up but would rather keep it as light as possible.

What's the purpose of plastic fakes? Who makes them?

Mock ups.  From what I understand they make the job way easier.

good idea using them for mockups so long as they are that accurate.  Can you get other engines in plastic?

Look on ebay, and I`ve seen them in the Mopar rags, but beware, they are not cheap. They have all makes available. As far as Mopar goes I know they have the 426 HEMI and the 440. Size wise they are 100% accurate. They also have some transmissions as well.

They make those in Leavenworth Ks.  I have been to their plastic "plant".  I bought a set of plastic 426 Hemi valve covers for 40.00..I don't know why, I don't even own a Hemi.  However, it sounded cool at the time I guess.  They have been making all kinds of fake engines for many years.  I can't remember thier name, but I found them advertiising on e-bay.

I wouldn't mind having a set of 40 dollar plastic valve covers to hang on the wall.  I've wanted a set of Hemi covers to pin up for a while but the metal are just little out of my league for wall art.
