Help! Take a look at these Block stamps, is this my engine?

Hi guys, I quote this topic.

What you say those numbers, can those be factory stamps?
Car is -70 Hemi Charger, date code on the block is 1.28.69
This guy, who stamped it, was sure little bit drunk.

I'd need a better picture, right off the bat the G looks off.  

I'm not partial to that car by any means either...really.  Pretty sad, I think I miss ol' Blue as much as I do my legs.

OP - out of curiosity how much is this seller asking for the block?  It could also show some motivation if it's priced sky high.


I think the great group of guys here have shown it to be a warranty block that the seller stamped.

I agree Homerr, very knowledgeable guys here.  Some day if my block pops up I'll be turning here for info.

Re: OP's pics...  It is a re-stamp. The top pad is all wrong too.....looks like a service block. Block casting dates don't mean too much to me - the casting dates can be all over the map depending where/how it was sitting in the shelving at the engine plant.

This guy called me out of the Blue from a Moparts posting (this was in 2008), asking $2,500 for the block.
I told him no thanks!
