caught a glimpse of a comercial for the tv show burn notice on f/x.looks like the character drives a 3rd gen charger in the series.

I have not seen that but the preview for My own worst enemy looks like Christian Slayter gets out of a new challenger, tough to tell because you just see the rear quarter for a brief time, but those lines look familiar.

Been watching it religiously since it started last year.  It's a REALLY good show actually... I thought it was going to suck, but watched the first episode to see the charger, and haven't missed an episode since. Bruce Campbell (can't remember his character name, but who cares, he's bruce campbell!) is amazing, Fi is awesome, and Mike is pretty cool as well.

The car is a '73 that mike 'inherets' from his long-deceased father when he comes back to Miami.  Apparently they had a contentious relationship, and Mike tried helping him work on it once, but it didn't go very well or something like that.  There was a "blow-up" of the car at one point, but it was a minor thing used to distract a bad guy.  Basically blew up a small gas canister on the front windshield damaging the windshield and some small body damage - it was fixed by the next episode.

bordin34

So why does he drive a Caddy now?

He sometimes borrows Sam's (remembered his name!) car ... er ... well, sam's rich girlfriend's car ... though they broke up last season ... Sam's a retired spy who basically makes his "living" mooching money off of rich old ladies he dates and the occasional side job with Mike.  So, Mike borrows Sam's gf's car on occasion.  But the Charger remains his primary car so far.  And since Sam's girlfriend dumped him, the caddy is probably gone forever from the show :)

Actually, Christian is driving a new Camaro. One of the shows main sponsers is Chevy.

... Sam's a retired spy...

Actually, Sam is an ex-navy Seal who had performed ops with Michael in the series. Sorry, I like this show so we need to get it right. Just slightly anal, boys.... :icon_smile_wink:

Yeah, I know he's ex-seal, but I seem to remember he did a stint in intelligence as well, didn't he?  Don't remember where I got that from, though.

Heh - yep, see?  His character page details his history, and even refers to him as a "former spy" :P

Dans 68

Hmm, according to the bio it looks like you are correct. I just haven't gotten that far with the Sam's background (shown below) and repeated what I've heard to date on the show.  :P Not anal enough!

Handsome with a good-natured grin, Sam (Bruce Campbell) is a former Navy Seal, Military Intel Operative, and all-around Cold Warrior. In his prime he was point man on an array of armed conflicts the world over. He worked with Michael many times during those heady days. When Michael reconnects with him in Miami, Sam has embraced his post-espionage days by letting loose. Once, he loved the threadbare world of secret surveillance in the communist bloc, or forward recon in the touch-and-go Middle East.

Irregardless, a very good show.  :2thumbs:

Been a fan since the first episode, can't wait for next season :D

Kinda worried about what the underlying plot is going to do now, though...  1st season was the 'find who burned me', 2nd season was 'dealing with carla & finding out about the organization', I guess 3rd season will be dealing with the fallout now that the organization is no longer offering protection?

Also, I thought it was funny that Frazier's dad was the big boss :D
