well first off they dont take cc....then i sent them a money order for my 6.1 mounts,a set of super stock springs with all the hardware and a flexplate for the 6.1 hemi swap...

well it took about a month to get it and let me tell you im pissed.....
1-they sent me what looks like used springs that look like they have been left outside for months and are rusting already :brickwall: there response is for ship them back on my dime so they can look them over and if they are rusted they will replace them if not they will send them back without my return shipping fees and have to pay for shipping back to me :brickwall:
2-i didnt receive the shackle set... :brickwall: there response our bad i guess we forgot to add them in :brickwall:
3-the flexplate adaptor that is required is MP P5153753 which is what i ordered...got it in and every which way i try to install it it will not match up on the crank.the serial number on the one i got is a668022 the right one is a668029..which was confirmed by a buddy of mine that did the same to his cuda.called manici and the  first thing they said was its not our problem call MOPAR and have them fiqure it out...Well i called MOPAR just to get it done and they confirmed the right MP part number but the flexplate serial number is not right,so i called manici back they said i am installing it wrong...WELL I HAVE BEEN A MECHANIC FOR THE NAVY FOR 10 YEARS NOW AND ANOTHER 8 ON MY OWN i can fiqure out that 6 out of 8 bolts dont line up to the crank..There response was ship it back on my dime to compare it to the Mopar blueprints and if its right they will send it back to me on my dime yet again and no refund for returing shipping :brickwall:

terrible one

I can't say anything for your other problems or whatever but my springs and all that I've seen have come with a bit of rust between the leaves. Mine came from Summit brand new and looked the exact same but probably had less paint as they had been knocking together all the way down the road.  :Twocents:

TUFCAT

I've NEVER had any problems with Mancini....and been dealing with them on and of since 1984 - almost 25 years now. Wow, I can't believe I'm that OLD!  :brickwall:  Here in the Detroit area, just about everybody buys Mopar stuff from them. They've got much better stock, availabilty, and prices than the so called performance dealers.  :2thumbs:  Sometimes quality issues are Mopar Performance (Direct Connection) problem - usually not Mancini's fault.  :Twocents: :Twocents:

Just 6T9 CHGR

No CC's?  They have been taking my credit card for over 10 years..... :scratchchin:

The springs look normal for a set that has been sitting in a warehouse.....I dont think they come powder coated.

mopar does a crap job of painting those springs. Mine were not rusty, but they had the crap scratched out of them and as soon as I wash the car or drive in a puddle they will look just like yours. The flexplate dilemma would piss me off though.

Wrong, I just placed a quick order with my CC. Took me less than a minute.

And the leaf springs look normal to me. Not sure what you are looking for???

Charger-Bodie

Ive ordered TONS of stuff from Mancini , Always talk to Art, Never ever had a problem with them !!

I think they are one of THE best in the business!!

As for the springs , get some spray bomb paint stripper shoot it on ,wait about 5 minutes , rinse it off, clean them really well, and then spray them with some good quality chassis paint and move on.

Something smells dutch with the balance plate deal.  :Twocents:

PS not to bust balls or anything but as for the being a mech for years thing?  Didnt you try for like months to get youre 440 in youre Charger running?

I've always had good dealings with Mancini.

Musicman

Same here, never had an ounce of trouble with Mancini, always used a Credit Card  :2thumbs:

Troy

Ok, I worked in mail order for 10 years so here's my experience...

1. Mancini uses Yahoo for their shopping cart. If it didn't take your card it's an issue with Yahoo and no one at Mancini refused it, broke it, or otherwise gummed up the works.
2. Most (good) mail order companies will take anything in return but the buyer is responsible for the return shipping. Once the return is received by the warehouse, *IF* it appears that the company has made a mistake then usually they will replace the item and refund the shipping. If it's an obvious mistake from the phone call, the company (at their own discretion) may ship a replacement right away. If the customer is in the wrong or just didn't like/need the item then the customer is responsible for shipping of the return item AND the replacement item (although, again, some places will waive this).
3. Mancini doesn't make (nor warranty) most of the products they sell so they are correct in pointing you to the manufacturer for application discrepancies. If the manufacturer packed the wrong part in the box then, again, it's a manufacturer problem but the dealer should handle that. They would need to verify that it's incorrect first - which they can't do until it is returned. This one is tricky since you got the wrong part but it's no fault of the seller. They technically aren't responsible but many places will eat the cost of replacement and just check the parts better in the future.

I don't have any idea on the springs but it sounds like something common according to everyone else. It's probably the same paint they use on the new car suspension components which explains the rust...

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

KMPX2

I have been buying from them since the late 70's, never a problem. Lou and the boys have always been great to me. Even went out of there way to find me a Six-Pack intake for a B motor when they 1st came out and no one had them yet. I always deal with Chucker.

Ghoste

I always try to deal with Wes but I've worked with Art several times as well and never had any issues with him either.

I think chargerman68, may have just been having a bad day even the best co. have issues come up.  Through my few dealings with Mancini they have conducted them selves well and provided a good service, and they took my credit card as well.  I hope all works out for you, but I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I'm with the majority here.  :yesnod:  Every time I've dealt with Mancini it has been a good experience. Very knowledgeable & helpful staff, and great pricing.
The springs have a little more rust than I've noticed on average, but the "paint" these things come in is garbage. Crappy black paint over steel, whaddya think is gonna happen??   :scratchchin:  Sand 'em down, & respray them. That's the fix for ALL of them, rust or not. If you didn't, they'd easily look like that after a few months.

Just curious, but if there was a problem with using a credit card online, why wouldn't you simply pick up the PHONE and call them???  :shruggy:
