How do I ID 4 speed Tranny Cases?

Trying to find out exactly what Chrysler part number the 4 speed cases are. I can tell by the VIN stamped on it but is that the only way? When A guy looks for a date coded replacement is the only thing he's matching up the year in the VIN on the trans. What about the casting numbers on the cases. Did New Process publish the casting numbers? Thanks!
WANTED: NOS or excellent condition 72-74 4 speed shifter boot for bench or centre armrest car, part number 3467755. It's a rubber boot that looks like it's sewn up leather.

There is little or no info on the raised casting numbers, the stamped VIN and build date are all you have.
