I have spoken with the American Red Cross and have received their approval to place their logo on "The Dodge" poster.

I will be giving half the proceeds from the sale of this poster to the “American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund”. I am very excited that I can help, along  with the help of many people like you. I am positive that many will join in to help those in need.

I have contacted a financial institution to distribute this money accordingly.

We are hoping that the posters will be ready for print in mid November. Please feel free to copy this message wherever you see fit.

Sounds like a great thing you are doing, but I am curious about something. You see, I am very familiar with the print industry and know actual costs of such items... So I wonder, why only HALF of the proceeds? I am unsure if you created this poster to help, or created the poster to profit and decided it would sell better if you gave half the proceeds away...knowing that MORE would sell because of the "cause" you mention. There is nothing wrong with making a profit, but boosting sales by tagging along on the tail of a disister hardly seems ethical or philanthropic IMO. I would figure that after costs are paid and a NOMINAL fee is taken for your time, you could give away QUITE a bit more. I just hope that this isn't becoming a money making venture, because THAT will leave a bad taste in everyones mouth, and this could backfire on you big time. Hey, what do I know, right? Could you possibly give more, or is profit an objective here? Just curious...

BTW: I love your car and have nothing against you. I think maybe you could clarify a little. Just like anyone pushing an item for disaster relief, you are somewhat expected to be accountable. Please don't take this the wrong way.

You appear to be a new member here. Not sure if you were around in the Dodge-Charger.com days, but many folks will forever be skeptical when it comes to purchasing things because of stuff that happened before that site crashed.

ChargerBill is just trying to help.

Additional information I'd like to have is a description of the poster and more information as to how it can be purchased..

I would also like to know why a financial institution is needed to distribute the money evenly if half of the price of the poster is going to a dedicated fund. What is this institution?

As was Bill, I'm just seeking additional info - not trying to shoot you down.
Sixty-eights look great and the '69 is fine.
But before the General Lee there was me - Headrope.

Its a Bank.    Im setting up a pay pal account that will be routed directly to the bank. So.. if I was selling a poster for $10 an all the money went to me, there would not be all the questions. Contact the Salina KS Red Cross. Ask for Victoria. She will verify any doubts you may have.

I was hoping that you wouldn't take offense. It's not that we don't trust YOU, it's just that there have been problems with items paid for and never delivered and also have been problems with folks in general stating that funds will go to this or that cause and then it never makes it there. unfortunately you're somewaht right, the money goes to you and no one questions a thing, but you have to realize that supporting the Red Cross will have the effect of boosting your sales, so you shouldn't take offense at people asking for clarification. You should probably prepare yourself, because I'm sure I'm not the first and I won't be the last. Good luck.
