Nothing personal, just business

Wow, most celebs leave this world and I dont give them much thought, but losing Jerry Reed felt like an old friend. He was an absolute top notch guitarist (up there with his idol Chet Atkins) and an all around great entertainer. He was the typecast good ol' boy in the 70's when I was growing up and you could tell it wasnt an act, that was really him. Lets see, hmmm....the world has lost Jerry Garcia, Guy Williams (lost in space/zorro), Don Knotts, Alan Hale Jr. (skipper), Waylon Jennings and now Jerry Reed, the list of celebs I really care about on a personal level is fast becoming narrowed down the older I get.... :'(

Well, we've still got Urkel.

(Hey. isn't it about time he sticks up a gas station, or does a porno, or something?  I don't think he's even been to rehab yet.)

I also saw him with Waylon Jennings....Jerry was a great entertainer whose love for music and life showed in his songs and in his style...
Just listening to his songs makes you want to get up and boogie!!

Losing him IS truly like losing a friend...definitely one of the Great and Irreplaceable Ones.

I "introduced" Jerry Reed to Nacho in July by playing his Greatest Hits CD all the way through Louisiana...seemed appropriate at the time...
(Nacho thought he was great, too.)

I don't know,  he's kind of making a comeback.  Not in a big way but has done some TV appearances and post production on a couple movies this year.  Kind of hard to lose that image of Steve Urkel.  I'm guessing that is why Stefan came on the scene after a while in the show. I'm sure he was more than fed up with playing that geek and was finally old enough to know this could be the beginning and the end at the same time.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

This is the first time I saw this. I loved his music and his acting. One of the other favorite movies of mine he was in was this one. RIP Jerry :'(

I guess he's now Eastbound & Down, eh?

Seriously, I always likes him better than Bandit.  Expecially after he got beat up by the biker gang and ran over their motorcycles in his semi!~

Via con dios, Snowman.

Neal

I loved when he crushed the bikes! RIP
