have a video but have no idea how to post it beside the video qaulity sound just can't compare to standing right there and to say it was loud would be a understatement.

I am completely stoked tommorow going to get the exaust hooked up and sort out my  excelarater cable and kick down cable kit both are after market and need installing do a complete bolt tightening check, adjust the shifter cable .

looks like I might make it to my first cruise next week.

Of course it matters....that's why you built a 528 instead of a 318 right  :icon_smile_big:

That big displacement is using everything that cylinder head has to offer.....safe to say their maxed out.  ;)

The cam is a bit small for the displacement so it's gonna peak early with the std port heads which is fine....no need to rev it to the moon to make power....easy on parts. The Eddy's in stock form will support 550hp or thereabouts so with that displacement it will make peak power at 5000-5200 rpm. The torque will be well in excess of 600 ftlbs probably peaking in the 3500-3700 rpm range.

You built a torque monster  :2thumbs:

No need for deep gears...3.23-3.55 is all you really need with that much grunt on tap  :drive:

Ron

Ps. as for the ignition curve.....i'd shoot for 16-18* at idle and 34-35* total all in by 3000 rpm and see how the engine likes it.  :Twocents:

firefighter3931  I  like what your saying about the gears I was wondering about that because the 3.91's rev quite high on the highway

73charger528cid

took her to her first cruise must report this thing feels unreal shes a absolute tire shreader in any gear with just a jab to be honest I haven't opened her up yet never been into the secondaries because traction is a ture real problem now and this thing launchs  violently now at just a jab.
also report that other than needing a rejet(running a bit rich right now) the 1090 king demon seems completely at home in this combination on the street.

only problem to report was a loose alternater cable wich ment I needed a jump from a mustag lol.

but has been fixed just need to do some fine tuning and get myself some sticky street tires.

lets just say Im smileing and feel my money was well spent.
