Sweet! :o My grandpa told me stories form the 60's of helping my Uncle Joe and Uncle Johnny pull engines in their cars (a Pontiac and a Chevy) in one night, and have a new one runnin the next morning.

Did they ever put Dana 60's in the cars?

That is doable...tiring but doable.

In fact, once I had my block honed and my heads done, I double checked all the new bearings with platiguage, reassembled from a bare block, torqued, and put the engine back in, all by myself with the exception of my dad pushing down on the tail of the transmission as I eased the assembly back in.  Got it all done in less than a full day of work.  I did know exactly what I was doing, as I had just done a Mopar and had great ways to deal with the accessories and linkages quickly--stuff like that which can add HOURS on if you are struggling with everything the first time.  The very next morning I drove it to San Diego!  OK, nowadays I don't think I would have done that!!!

I have heard of guys doing complete REBUILDS in a day.  Depends on your setup and familiarity.
Do I have the last, operational Popcar Spacemobile?

its possible - just not fun...    I've pulled an engine, replaced bearings and rings and had it back in and running in under 24 hours....       i wouldnt ever do it again though - plus i had a lift   :smilielol:

Why are there no pics of it in the car? :RantExplode: We need to see it installed and running. Looks good though. I remember when I was young and could do stuff like that. :rotz:
