I was reading the article on my computer, I clicked off and came to this site and what do I see?  This thread, Ha ha.  I swear that 70 Bee conv is from my town of Bethany Ct.  A friend of mine owned it way back in the 80's.  It sat in his back yard for many years , then one day he got it running and I used to watch it go by my house with the top down and filled with his buddies all the time.  It was cool to see it on the front page.  He did well when he sold it as Mopars were bringing good bucks back then also.  The hood was a different shade of green , like it was painted to match the rest of the original paint.  He swore it was a 6 pack car.  My buddy Steve S came up to view it in the back yard.  He bent over the windshield, eyed the VIN and said 440 4bbl car, and that was that.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I do remember that car! I think I still have photos of it somewhere. I will have to look for them. Brings back memories of affordable cars in your own neighborhood.

I have one of those R/T hoods. I was going to cut it and make a superbird hood out of it, but couldn't bring myself to cut it up.  ;D

I actually like the '70 bulge hood better than a n96 from a in the driver's seat angle.  It sits up a little higher than an e body rally hood too.  :Twocents:
