air compressor location

Looking for ideas on where to put my air compressor in my garage. it is a 60 gallon and very noisy. thought about building a room in a corner of the garage and insulating it.  any thoughts please share.

Good idea. Plan for ventilation as it will get real hot in there if you are gonna work it hard some afternoon sanding or painting.

so  to vent it would I just put a vent in the roof ?

I have a new shed in the back yard that I want to put my 60 gallon in.

If you don't want to penetrate the roof just cut a vent into the exterior wall. Put it up as high as possible, heat rises.

I have sofit vents if I build it in a corner I could just let that vent it.  maybe

Since the room will be insulated, cut a hole to the outside for the vent.

I put mine under my work bench (actually I put the bench over it) but have yet to enclose and insulate it. I'll take some pictures of it tomorrow.

my compressor is as tall as me so I need a tall work bench.       I'd still like to see pics.

What is your garage ceiling height?

8ft  but there is no ceiling just trusses . the roof is about 12 ft.
