Lots of old cars still prowling the streets  :yesnod:

WingCharger

There is a old VW bus "prowling" around a town near me. It is worse condition than that van, a shade of purple I just cant explain, and a McGovern bumper sticker.

Oh, I wouldnt mind owning a Pacer. Waynes World, and Waynes World 2 are good movies. Right up there with Blues Brothers, Super Troopers, and Joe Dirt. Please Note: Joe Dirt has a Hemi Orange 1967 Hemi GTX Convertible.

How much cargo capacity does that VW truck have?  400 pounds maybe?   :shruggy:

Baby blue has no place on a car, ie., that baby blue rustang looks horrible. I kind of like the purple one though.

Red Ram

'37 Pontiac Business Coupe...I think.

That is a neat old Bird - I like those but that isn't a 69, they still had the hideaway headlights. That is a 71.

Brock Samson

i googled it,.. it's a '70.. in '71 they grew lights and bars in the grill..   :shruggy:

"We have owned a 1970 Thunderbird and I can tell you that it is very easy to crunch the grille in a parking lot. From the driver's seat you cannot tell how far that beak sticks out there."

"Forward visibility was also criticized, with one respondent saying "Low front seat, high dash, long hood all combine so I can't tell where the front stops. Usually in somebody else's rear bumper!" Another said, "I keep knocking the emblems off my hood." Another, "Too little grille protection."

Ford advertising said the protruding front grille was "shaped to slice the wind," but it made owners cringe when they parked. Ford Dealers kept new replacement grilles in stock, and at about $40, it wasn't a terribly expensive item. However, all too often repairs also had to be made to the bumper and the area above the grille, which involved straightening and painting. This quickly drove up repair bills. It didn't take long for the insurance companies to tack on an additional premium for the 1970 Thunderbirds, although it wasn't much."
