Only been in this house for a little over a month, and Chuck's new work van was broken into!!!! They stole ALL of his tools! toolbags, sawzaws, drills, pipe benders, electrical parts, EVERYTHING!!!!!! I swear we never get a break!!! Thousands of dollars in tools, gone! Chuck is an electrician, so now he has no livelyhood!!! We are sooooooo Fu$%in pissed!!! Chuck had to cancel an electrical job that was to be this morning! Now we're just waiting for the cops!!!! Sorry to rant, but I needed to!

well we just got the van last Saturday, and when we got insurance, Chuck asked about full coverage. They said it would only cover the van, not the contents. So with that being said, we had just put PL/PD on it. We are leasing this house, and unfortunatly don't have renters insurance yet.

Stealing a riding lawnmower or a big-screen TV is one thing.  But stealing a person's tools?  The tools used for making a living?

He only had "skip" written on them in sharpee. But everything else we get later on WILL be engraved! Right now, he has nothing to make a living with. Just sucks!

You guys are still in Vegas, right? Man, that sucks.

My father in law is a contractor & was doing a job in Vegas a dozen years ago for a week or so. Someone stole his truck (fulll of tools) from the hotel parking lot. The Highway Patrol found it about a week later, abandoned in the desert somewhere.
He figures that some of the other workers at the job site had followed him after he finished for the day & went back in the middle of the night, to swipe the truck.
I would definitely check out any tweakers/illegals at the job site, if I were you guys.

Throw a list up of tools that he needs right now to continue to get the job done and keep working.  I know I have a sawzall, that I will give ya'll no problem.  Seriously, throw a list up and I will send you anything I have on that list.  I will also ask my buddy Ryan, who is going to school right now for this very thing and see what he can dig up.

I will literally send you everything I have/can.

Thank you to all.    I'm making the list for the police which will be a couple pages.      I don't want to be a charity case as I know everyone is just trying to help and that is so cool .  So, for right now I'll see what I can do far as a list for the police and so I can figure out what I've got to have to get rolling and get what I can. Please take no offense as I will try to get what I need on my own.  I've been an electrician for 12 years and had the tools to work for myself as I've been doing.  Those bastards wiped me out.    And on top of it as I went to go to the store for some soda after the police left I noticed they took all of my gas to.    So I got my 5 gallon can and took Lisa's car to get some gas and just figured that it was time for some renters insurance. Dam me for not having it.    You touch a mans tools you might as well touch his wife is my attitude.     We just moved over here on the west side in a good area for a reason.  This is not a lower class neighborhood so we feel safe here,  until now.  I'm just so angry that I feel sick,    But tommarrow's another day and I will still be here and I still got my car.    Again, much thank's to my Charger family and when the time comes for me to beg, you will all know.      Chuck...........

God I hate thieves!!!!  I used to have an electrical contracting business in Hawaii years ago.  Parking was tight and we had to park the trucks and vans on the street in front of the shop.  We had to unload the tools and wire off the rigs every afternoon and leave the doors unlocked.  Otherwise the windows would get broken by the bastards to find out what was inside.  Then there were the employees who would steal you blind also.  Don't get me going here.....   Glad I'm retired now.   Bob

Thanks Charity! I found out from head of security that a couple more cars were broken into night before last. We have one camera up so far. We just put it up temp. till our buddy has some time this weekend to install all the cameras properly. I wanna catch these lil fu*#ers BAD!!!
