I saw this car at an A&W car show in Cold Lake Alberta, a couple of months ago...
The scooped hood looked a lot like the kind found on 1970 Coronets, but a whole lot more aggressive (and functional!).

A few more shots!
How about that wing, huh? And those exhaust tips.....
Beauty eh?

That hood ruins the perfect lines of the original second generation Charger hood. There`s a reason the factory didn`t offer any type of ram air, or shaker hood on the second generation Chargers, they were perfect from the factory.

i like the way the raised lip was subtlely incorporated into the top of the scoop, makes it look alot better then if it was just flat on top... but i'm not a fan of scoops on 1 st 2nd or third gens generally myself, with the exception of the T/A chally scoop, which i do,..
and i made a custom scoop for mine too, which i never used...  anyhow,..
the rear spoiler ain't my taste either,.. i think having the F7F model in the rear window butt's the whole car down a notch too...

i don't get the rear exhaust tips, what's the point?..  :shruggy:

freakin haters!!!

Ghoste

I would never had ordered one, but the small deck spoilers on the back of the 70 models aren't overly offensive to me.  I'm not digging it as much on that car for some reason but I've seen it on a few others where I kind of liked it.  But most of my friends will quickly tell you that I'm not right in the head.

Don't be hating on the 69 500's.

Traction bars....$50.00
Wing...$75.00
Raised White letter tires.....$200
Hood scoop and labor to install....$400
Being the envy of all your freinds at your Class of 1985 reunion.....PRICELESS!

yeahitsgotahemi!

You guys are missing the point. The scoop is more than just from putting air in the engine. Look at those holes, those are actually handles for the blonde to hang onto if you get my drift. Totally genius. But in all seriousness, I like the sixpack scoops better, but very nice job on the functional ram air part.

I like it.

I love the airgrabber, though.  I think kab was looking for pictures like that.

Where is kab, anyway?

I thought that was a Coronet?  :shruggy: Either way, the '69 500 is the fugliest 2nd gen Charger ever built. Talk about a Frightened Turtle looking front end.  :pity:  :icon_smile_wink:
