Just thought I'd see what the other real men (read "hunters" :icon_smile_wink:) are using, and hear about some of their experiences pursuing that sedative creature that causes us to fall asleep during the all important Thanksgiving day football games.   I'm picking up a Benjamin Sheridan Discovery pcp air rifle next week and will try it out in the field over the next few weeks before Thanksgiving. I'll check back in and relate my adventures then.

Thanksgiving is just about the best holiday of them all.  I get thru 2 plates of my in-laws turkey dinner and wash it down with a couple glasses of wine and its "lights out" for me...   :drool5:

I'd figure a real man would run up behind the turkey, clune it on the head and then strangle it to death with his bare hands!

How is it that in this one 16 word "sentence" you managed to rack up eight spelling and grammatical errors?

A real man goes into the woods naked and fashions a weapon from stones and plant fibers, sneaks up on the turkey and kills it and then smears himself in its blood before bringing the kill home to feed his family.

Anything else is sorta pussified.

That's just my opinion.

Of course, I say that...but I wear my tightie whities.

Hah! This is why this is such a great site. Your comments are great!

And by the by, when turkey hunting in the great state of Cal-i-forn-i-a (as Gov. Arnold says) you can only take turkeys with a shotgun, bow and arrow or pellet gun (larger than 0.20 caliber). And a pellet rifle can send a 0.22 caliber pellet about 900 fps. 0.5" groupings at 50 yards.  Not a toy. :2thumbs:

So there you go!

You go out in the woods and make your own bow and arrow (its easy...ask an indian) and then hunt your turkey.

Sadly here in the "great white north" any pellet gun that shoots over 500fps is classified as a firearm and thus you must have your "firearms license" to purchase one.  :slap:

what CA doesnt know wont hurt it...    I've taken my 8mm Mauser rabbit hunting before...     that was pretty sporty...           then my buddy decided to bring his AR-15 - now that was not pleasant...    however it did leave more of the rabbit to eat compared to the Mauser    :2thumbs:

Um, we capitalize the first letter of each sentence....unless you are making subtle point.

Good (o.k., "proper") grammar is not necessary for a discussion, but it sure reads easier.  :yesnod:
