Is there any sort of book or manual that has detailed info and pictures on how to build up a charger and where parts go and such? thanks

There is one out there called Charger or something but it is pretty bad.  The best bet is to get a Dodge Service Manual and a Dodge Parts book that will show you  what everything is and how it goes.  They are available on e-bay for originals or on CD ROM.  I got an original service manual in a trade and bought the CD for the parts book.  Both will serve you well.

PROJECT CHARGER by Larry Lyles - it was originally a 14 month step by step monthly update in Auto Restorer magazine that was put into one comprehensive book. It covers most issues and is invaluable IMO. Amazon has copies on sale for $15.72 right now.

I have the Charger, Road Runner & Super Bee Restoration Guide by Paul Ward.  It has been helpful for allot of questions with options, parts numbers and other things.  It isn't the beat-all that answers all my questions but it helps.  I want to get the service manuals etc like the others recommended as well.
Over?! its not over until we say it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?!...Hell no! and its not over now!..(Germans? Pearl Harbor?...shut up, he's on a roll)

by build up you mean restore right? or engine power? i havent looked through project charger, i dont think it goes into too much depth but sounds like a decent book.

I guess my disclaimer should have been: AFTER you buy an Assembly Manual it's good resource to have. As far as where each little part goes and how to restore a bunch of subassemblies, you won't find that info in PROJECT CHARGER.

If you want my copy of Charger Project you can have it for the postage.  Overall it didn't teach me anything and it's references were less than stellar.  The Charger/Bee/Runner guide is better but still has numnerous error in it.
