My brother in law was over this weekend and we were working on his 72 charger. He is debating changing it from a column shift auto to a 5 speed. Anyone know what it would entail to do this conversion? Anyone seen a 5 speed tremec swapped into a 3rd gen? Trying to get specs and prices for him to see if we could do it one weekend. (long weekend)

I have seen one, unfortunately it was at the Mopar Nats and I have no idea whose car it was.  It looked like it went in without a huge butcher job but I can't tell you anything substantial beyond the fact that it can be done.

helped install one - not very much different than doing an E-body    :2thumbs:

Here is Keisler auto to 5-speed conversion kit. You have to call for the price.

I did my 72 charger from auto to a 4-speed it took longer than a weekend but I didnt buy a kit like the one above. Just pieced it together myself. It was a lot cheaper but took a lot more time. Well worth it though a lot more fun to drive IMO.
