Were hideaway headlights offered as an option for any model charger in '72 or were they only offered on certain models? Are the headlight doors electric or vacuum operated?

Thanks in advance, Scott

Charger1973

I dont know the 72 options that well, I do know they were standard on SE's though.  And they are electric since 1970.

konigcharger

i thought i knew the answer to this one, but i looked it up anyway and was wrong.

according to the data book it was

standard on SE and Charger Topper
optional on coupe and hardtop w/ Rallye package only

If you have no vision or creative spirit, you can always fall back on the way the factory did it.

Harlow

Alright thanks guys. So it sounds like it could have potentially come on any model in '72 either as standard or optional equipment.

AKcharger

My 1972 charger brochue shows the hide-aways available on SE's only, but that commercial shows diffrent huh?

Looks like that says it came standard on the SE and optional only on the Rallye? I'm guessing an "s" means standard? Whats "E" stand for?

Brock Samson

I'm not ecxactly sure what your asking but S.E. means "Special Edition".
hope that helps.

konigcharger

S = Standard
E = Extra
NC = No Cost
NA = Not Available

Sorry. I was referring to the "S" and "E" placed in the columns next to the options. Not what SE stood for.
