I received this email from my buddy Dennis.  There's no Snopes link claiming it's "False".  Interesting, I never realized these floods were this (Katrina) bad? 


Where are the Hollywood celebrities holding telethons asking for help
in restoring Iowa and helping the folks affected by the floods?



Where's the media asking the tough questions about why the federal government hasn't solved
the problem? Asking where the FEMA trucks (and trailers) are?

Why isn't the Federal Government relocating Iowa people to
free hotels in Chicago and Minneapolis ?


When will Spike Lee say that the Federal Government blew up the
levees that failed in Des Moines ?

Where are Sean Penn and the Dixie Chicks?


Where are all the looters stealing
high-end tennis shoes and big screen television sets?


When will we hear Governor Chet Culver
say that he wants to rebuild a 'vanilla' Iowa, because
that's the way God wants it?

Where is the hysterical 24/7 media coverage?


Where are the people declaring that George Bush hates white, rural people?

How come you will never hear about the Iowa flooding ever again?

Thanks for posting those pictures.

I knew it was bad, but I do not remember seeing images this bad. We did venture down into southern Indiana during those same floods to see my wifes family, and there were parts down there in bad shape too. But not that bad.

Probably because the people of Iowa will get down to business and  clean up their own mess.  They will bunk in with family, friends, a local church.
It's because these people have a sense of community and don't run around raping and killing each other even when there is no flood.
