Well since I moved out to Hawaii I needed a car to get around and after looking around on craigslist I found a 1965 Belvedere II. Story goes that the guy bought it from the original owner earlier this year. This car was very well maintained there are little stickers all over the engine bay when he did some work on it. The car was taken to the dealership for routine maintenance. It is a survivor as far as I can tell it looks like there was never any major work or damage to the car. There are some small dents here and the and the worst damage has to be the very corner of the drivers door has some rust bubbling up. Its got a 318 in it with manual brakes. I'll let you guys let you guys try and figure out how much I paid for it. Here's some pics for now I'll get some more tomorrow.

Well considering that I have spent about 15k on cars in the past year I was a little short on cash for the Hemi. And I forgot to add this earlier but here is some more pics of it http://s41.photobucket.com/albums/e271/bearscharger/Belvedere/

I'll guess at the price too, you traded some rare Koa wood you stole from work, & a large box of coconuts for it?   :shruggy:

Those "stickers" look like they came from back-in-the-day Labelmakers. They were the rage back in the 60s and 70s.

bear

Thanks for all the comments about it I am really glad I found it and now it looks like it will have to get shipped back when I leave. The sicker are those old label makers and they have little notes of when the battery was last changed and things like that. Brock so far everythings going fine out here and I guess I for got to reset the camera after I used it last.

I've been thinking about the alternators and I think the problem comes from when he replaced the radiator in 90 there was an overflow bottle add to the car (most just had a tube running down the side of the radiator for overflow) and that is only held in by a wire and rubs against the alternator and pulley. So I am thinking that the bottle has been replaced a few times because it would rub against the pulley or melt enough to leak fluid right into the alternator causing it to short out thus why it was replaced so many times. Other than that I found some holes in the rear window channel which I have to take care of other than that it is rock solid see:
