Well after +12 weeks the waiting is finally over, she's home!
I went over last week to see the Charger was handled with care but being so dirty and no daylight, I couldn't see much.
Yesterday I picked her up with my friend who has done some hauling in the past.
Brought her home and gave her a nice bath, she deserved it. Damn, I notice 1 scratch in the paint :brickwall:
It isn't a biggy because there are many flaws in the paint (cheapo paint job, you know ::) )

After she was cleaned up I started to check out the car, she has a starting problem.
Yes after a few months sitting, gas drained out of the tank, she will not fire up!  :flame: :flame: :flame:

Anyway, here are the pics as promised:

fresh out of the customs ware house:

we put her on the trailer:

dropped off at my house, dirty as hell:

first night in her new bedroom :)

start to remove the gas filter, lines to the carb and the carb and reinstall, still no luck :icon_smile_dissapprove:
I assume it's the coil that went south so I'll check it out with a mopar friends' spare coil tomorrow.
It could be the gas pump too, I ain't seeing no gas squirting into the carb   :scratchchin:

neighbors' son enjoying it allready   :icon_smile_big:

final result after the clean up:

Ok, now I'm of too the tech section, need some advise on some electric and fuel issues.
Thanks for watching and the patience!  :2thumbs:

Great Charger CB.. Did you guy it out of the US. West? I think I have seen this car at the MATS last March.. I have to go through my pics. and see if it's the same car.. Same color combo and wheels. Plus I noticed a DESERT tag in one of the pics. Could be it...

Glad you got her buddy.... Now get her fired up and let's see how she goes...

That thing doesn't have a hidden kill switch somewhere does it?
You got spark?

Looks great, BTW. :drool5:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Steve P.

Give us the run down buddy.. We are all more than happy to help..

1) Battery power?

2) Power to coil? "KEY ON"  --  "CRANKING"

3) fuel (AT CARB)?

4) Spark at the spark plug end of any wires?

5) Compression??

6) Any KILL SWITCH?  Check to see if any wiring looks like Mickey Mouse did it...

Make these checks and let us know.. I'm sure you have, but you are not letting the cat out of the bag yet..   :scratchchin:

I removed the engine harness and went through it. (see threat on General Q&A)
found a few small nicks in some wires and a corroded point at the alternator regulator (don't think this was the cause of not running thou)
reinstalled the harness  RRR, RRR, BROOOOMMMMM SHE'S BACK IN BUSINESS  :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :coolgleamA:

Normally when you wiggle a wire and it runs means that you'll be driving down the road and it will wiggle again and leave you stranded... Time to go through that wiring with a fine tooth comb.. Check all connections and unions.. Bulkhead connectors are big areas to check..

Good hunting buddy...  The car looks great...

well actually, I took the complete engine harness out , inspected it, re-taped everything and hooked it back up with all the wires having a solid and clean contact.  :yesnod:

Then I would be looking hard at the bulkhead connector and all grounds. Even if a bolt looks clean where you can see it, remove it and inspect every ground. A slight bit of corrosion can put your electrical system on it's collective ass...

Sometimes the bulkhead connector looks good as you are plugging it back in. The problem can be pushing the INNER connector apart. Happens allot on the main power wire going to the AMP gauge. They like to fry from heat at the connection. Check it close.....
