When the Charger reverses out of the garage and shows the number plate "Beast", you hear the car reving a little. Is that a Dodge Charger sound?

Who knows with Hollywood. They could have used the sound from anything.

I doubt he would know. Im just wondering if that really is a charger sound or is that again something else. You guys have owned mopars of all kinds, have any mopars sounded like this?

Does it sound like H exhausts? Does it sound supercharged? Does it sound small block or big block, or does it  sound like a chevy or a ford etc.

I took a listen and it doesn't sound like any mopar I ever heard.  Sounds like a small-block to me as well but I'm not sure on the brand.  Big block mopars have a pretty distinctive sound.

Here's a good example of a pretty original big block mopar.

Or if you prefer the sound of Flowmasters...

i have to agree that the charger clip from VP II sounds awfully tame, weak even...
The other three clips posted sound much more like mine... a really deep throaty fire crackers in a coffee can sound.
mine.. 440 thru 3 inch TTIs...

Too bad we didn't hear it start. Then you would KNOW if it were a Mopar.

That car was at the Mopar Nationals in 97 or 98 and I got to hear it one time, It DOES sound good and the engine is a NICE 440. At the time the car was owned by Charlie Carner, the guy who wrote the screenplay for the Vaniching point remake and could have been bought, FRESHLY repainted and reworked for about 20k...

And that car was GORGEOUS up close.
