i found a 1969 new yorker with a 440 4bbl  engine in  it that i'm  thinking of buying to build and i was wondering if
someone could give me the info on  the motor like the   stock  compression, heads and stock hp that came from the factory on this engine?
If i remember right it should be a  factory 350 hp rating engine right? thanks

i'm thinking  all the difference  between that & a the 69 hp motor  is  the cam & windage tray  & oviously  b- body hp cast iron manifolds  .. it has 906 heads  & the same intake as the  hp motor also ....  :popcrn:

does it have the same size valves as the hp heads?

Only Basic differences between your 440 and the H.P. version is Camshaft, Valve Springs, Windage Tray, Some Jets & metering Rods, and the Exhaust Manifolds.
Good score.
Is it original and un-rebuilt ?
Only wimps wear Bowties !

yes the motor is originial and in the car ,going to pick it up in a few days,

I believe the pistons were also different between the 375hp version and the 350hp engines. Compression was usually closer to 9:1 on the std 440 350hp motor as well while the Magnum/Commando/TNT engines were closer to 10:1

Good score !  :2thumbs:
