Progress pics... '71 500...rear...

...first off, I know, it's only a big bad 8 1/4 end, but, this is my first ride and I am a newb to all this...  so here it is in anycase. And don't flame me for the shiny bolts in the cover. I like em' . I am not taking this in too radical a direction - everything stock that comes off, is kept in safe keeping for the day I may go the stock route. And one does want a hint of color...

Here's some progress over the last week. It's an undercoat car, while it probably won't see much rain (at all) - I don't have the resources to go that far with it, so, a fresh coat of rocker guard to blacken things up is what she got after a good inspection and any small metal repairs that have been completed.

Blocks. I know. Evil. But, once I got the new rubber on there (17x8 TTO w/Fuzion 255/50s) and the new springs, she was a tad bit high. So, I figured with the sway bar, new sneakers, new poly bushings, new shocks, new springs, and the resulting lower center of gravity.... I could deal. Not like this thing is gonna scream that much even if I walk the pedal anyhow....but.... I also ground the blocks down so the countour matches the leaf springs and keeps the axle at the right angle. They started out as 3" - ground em' down from there.

Anyhow, some shiny new hardware, paint, etc etc... still have to torque some things down, and tweak the tailpipes a bit...but here's where I'm at so far....
