Any recommendations?

My Wife and I have a night off and were thinking of taking in a movie.

Problem is, we're not sure what to see.

Comedy, drama, action, love story - what's playing that's good?

We don't get to the show very often, I'm thinking the last movie I saw at the theatre was DaVinci Code a couple of years back so we could use your help here.

Batman is not our thing.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Stay home and rent "The Shadow" from 1994.   :2thumbs:

You're telling me that if you had a sitter booked that you'd stay home instead?   :image_294343:

I'll keep that in mind for another time though.

You booked a sitter?  Forget the movie, rent a hotel room. ;D
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

Mike....work on the car, I'm sure your wife will go for that  :o

We had a rare night off last Saturday, had my folks come into town and watch the kids. We saw Wanted and Indiana Jones....we both thought Wanted was better.

Ok,
Hancock is a very good movie I've heard(kinda comedy, drama. etc...)

The new Indiana movie is doing well(action)

Wanted(Angelina Jolie, little far fetched action movie)

Another remake of "get smart" with Steve Carrell(comedy, I'm sure)

Step Brothers  is getting killer reviews(comedy)

"Mirrors"   Keifer Sutherland can't go wrong there!(guessing suspense/drama)

and then there is... Tropic Thunder  (another Ben Stiller jog with Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr, etc..(got to be funny but be careful cause it could be zoolander revisited :yesnod:)
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Big Lebowski

No need to go to the movies, if you can handle the F word every 3 minutes for 2 hours... just get the greatest movie ever made...The Big Lebowski. :D

I agree, that is a great movie.  Might just have to dust it off and watch it today, it's been awhile.

We ended up going to see Tropic Thunder - my choice of course!

Very funny, at least I thought so.  Lori laughed a bunch as well but it's not her kind of movie.

We went out for a martini and some sushi afterwards.  It was good to get out.

Thanks.

Big Lebowski

Is that the movie that pissed off all of the mentally challenged folks for using the "R" word? ("R" means retard for those of you in Rio Linda)
