72 Challenger

I thought i read that in 72, Dodge quit making the R/T Challenger and replace it with the Rallye? I was looking at a 72 challenger advertised as an R/T with paperwork stating R/T...
Any ideas, thoughts??

Paperwork can be made to say anything.  Check the VIN, that'll convince you.

You are correct. As far as the VIN goes, they both start with JS.

If the original paperwork was the Consumer Information Sheet, I have seen a few now that actually do say Challenger R/T for the '72.

The car is still a Rallye though, they did not uses any R/T badging on the '72 Challengers.
