Always wanted a Bandit Trans-Am! Wait, isnt that the wrong grille? Meaning the car is the wrong year?

Thats is beautiful. I love that car. That is the right year and the right colors.

I have had 5 1979-1981 Birds myself. They are terrific cars.  :2thumbs:

Nice looking car.
I like Trans Ams and own a few of them.
I have a 79 red T/A and I love driving that car. I almost painted it black with the gold stripes.
I also have a 77 SE that's rust free. I really need to restore it.
I've met a lot of mopar guys that own Trans Ams.

Nice ride.  :2thumbs:

My second high school car was a '77 Trans Am.  My buddy had a '73 w/ the 455.  We were the only kids with TA's in school, twas pretty cool.

The seats would recline back wards too, having a high school sweetheart with those seats come in handy.  :whistling:

Niccccccccccccccce!  I had an 80 Turbo Pace car.  That was one fun car.  Nothing handled like that thing and the turbo really moved it along.  Nice, real nice. :2thumbs:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Nice, you got what I've always wanted next to the ZZtop Ford. :2thumbs:
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

RD

to be honest, i have always like the smokey and the bandit trans am much more than the DOH general lee (i think its because the GL's paint scheme).  Now if DOH had a black 69 charger with gold turbine rims... well then... i would have to change my mind.

The Trans Am is pretty nice, but it is no MoPar.  My father-in-law had a black and gold '78.  I bet he wishes he still had that one.  Now he rides around in a '95 Jetta and '98 Beetle.   :smilielol:

Very nice!!!! :2thumbs: I actually have a liking for these and the 77-79 Z28's.

Daytona R/T SE

Very nice. I've had a few Firebirds and T/A's over the years. For one reason or another I managed to sell them all  :'(

I would love to find a nice, solid  77 or 78 SE project car.

Great another Charger/Trans Am Owner! One day soon I hope my T/A looks at nice as yours!
Good luck with your new ride!

I had a '73 T/A and a few '79's "years" ago and always loved them (and Chargers of course!) It's kinda of amazing how crappy late 70's and 80's GM products were built...interiors and electrics, bringing back unfond memories. But I just pick-up car this week and do love it.....so far.  It's gonna need new decals (faded) and some interior work but pretty solid with rebuiilt "Oldsturd",  403 .030 over w/forged pistons & aluminum heads, intake, MSD, headers and a nasty cam! Way louder than Charger, don't know if it will pass state inspection the way this thing sounds, may need new "quiet mufflers. Shaker REALLY shakes at stoplights with cam!  (Gonna keep Charger too if finances allow it)

hotrod98

My 79 has Hotchkis suspension, AGR steering and 4-wheel disc brakes.
That car drives and corners better than any of the mopars that I own. Still prefer my mopars, but I'm kind of fond of my T/A's as well.
I don't worry about driving the T/A's since parts are still somewhat plentiful.

I was waiting for that on a Charger forum LOL!! .....and I could never compare it the Charger ( THE musclecar icon )......

Charger_Fan

Good lookin' car!!
In high school, I had a friend who owned a '78 Macho T/A identical to this one...for all I know, it IS this one. It was just this clean back then, he babied the crap out of it.

I only rode in it twice, but man, would that thing flat out RIP! :icon_smile_cool:
I will own a T/A one of these days, it's on my list for sure. :yesnod:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

4forty

My Black & gold SE is "loud" enough.....I don't know if I could drive something with big "MACHO" T/A decals screaming at you, unless i was on my way to studio54 in the 70's!!

(there worth big bucks now though  $$$)

If I got one, white with blue trim, interior, and chicken. :popcrn:
