Picture of a Charger cruise I was on in 2002. The cruise was great but my Charger is not in the picture at the pumps because I adamantly REFUSED to pay the outrageous price of $1.47 a gallon for gas!

Now it's like hey, $4.17, that's a deal!

I've been getting a big kick out of saying "I told you so!" to all my friends about these current gas prices.

Back then I was saying gas was ridiculously cheap and we were getting too used to something unsustainable.  All my friends looked at me with such severe disbelief that it bordered on anger.  At the time it was violating some Code of Americanism to suggest that $1.50/gallon gas was not an atrocity.

Dont you run premium in your Charger?

You know, it used to be when you saw a picture of a gas station with prices posted and the prices were under a dollar, you thought, dayam, the good ol' days!  Now if its under 3 dollars its the good ol' days.

I didn't back then with a stock 383, but do now with the HP 440.

In a couple of years, we'll look back at todays prices and think this was cheap too.
