I did a few really good transactions with Keith from Kreative Customs and only had 1 issue with the products.  He ended up sending me 71 Charger seat covers instead of the 73 style.  So he said to send them back (which I did, exactly the way he asked) and he would refund the return shipping and get me the right seat covers.  All went well and eventually I got my seat covers (had to wait on Legendary to make them I guess), but never saw the refund check.  After a few weeks, I asked about it and he said his wife Kathy mailed me the check and I explained that I never got it.  I asked if they could void it and send another and they said it would cost them a big fee to do that and to wait longer and see if it showed up.  It didnt.  Eventually they agreed to send me another check, and I didnt receive it either.   I waited a couple months this time and when I emailed I got no response.  I finally tracked them down through their ebay account and asked about the check and I got a rude response from Kathy saying how she already sent me 2 checks and wasnt going to send another.  Needless to say i'm out like $40.  I just think thats crap, that she knows I never got the money and treated me like that. I have been nothing but nice, and given them plenty of business (probably around $1000), and they wont reply to my emails at all anymore.

Its not that hard for them to check their bnk to see if they were cashed, tell them to send it registered mail, you have to sign for it but have them take the fee off the top if you have to.Good luck.

Theres not much I can do.  I just thought people should know about it.  Keith seemed like a great guy and I heard he had some health issues, which is why I let this drag out for over a year...  but now I cant even get a response from them.

The facts:
I didnt receive any type of a refund from him.
He has never shown me any kind of proof that he ever sent me anything.
He never claimed to have sent a money order until now, it was supposedly a 2nd check.
I read my saved PMs from him and the amount was in fact $40.83 sent to him on June 16th, 2007.

Again, I always thought highly of Keith which is why I ordered from him in the first place.  I got a deal and he got business, it was a win/win situation.  But I cant afford to just throw away money either...  and his wife was just plain rude.  It would be nice if they would just email me CHARGER1973@HOTMAIL.COM and straighten this out but for whatever reason they haven't (it's been over a year) and have chosen not to respond to my emails.

I would let it go since it is a small amount. Don't deal with them again...... lesson learned.

I dont expect to see my money again, but I wanted to at least let people know about the situation.  I have given every opportunity for them to make this right.  And as a side note - $40 to a full time college student is not really a small amount.  I havent even been able to drive my car this year due to it needing a new gas tank and this would have went a long ways toward purchasing one.

Sad to hear that you are not happy with their business. Hope it would be solved.

I have just installed a aluminum radiator that I bought from them - Awesome product compare to the price of it. Also very fast and cheap shipping! So I'm happy! They have many business on ebay to and 100% positive feedback.

I honestly didnt have anything bad to say about them either until this happened.  I just wanted to let people know that the issue was there.  You can use your own judgement about the situation and in deciding whether or not to deal with them.

i do not know what happened concerning your situation, but i do know one thing. keith and kathy are STAND UP people, and not crooks, that is a fact.. not to his defense.. but he has 2 of my cars there at his shop, and he has been working daylight to dark with his real job.. i even wondered at times what was going on, then he would finally email. he's been extremely busy. no excuse for you not to have your money, but i KNOW he wouldn't screw anyone over $40 bucks especially to put a bad rap on his name, that is a fact

:iagree: Keith has always been very good to me. only once was i sent the wrong thing(it was the wrong color interior dye) keith actually told me not to worry about sending it back and sent me a new can (the right color this time) at no cost. i highly recommend him.

i am sorry to hear about your bad experience. i know keith isn't really an email guy maybe you should give him a call. i'm sure it will get taken care of. he is one of the really good guys in this hobby.

We have always corresponded through email or PMs.  He has my email address, home address and phone number, and I have given him over a year to make things right before bringing it out in the open.  I probably wouldnt have said anything and just let it go if his wife hadnt treated me like she did.  She basically acted like I was trying to rip them off.  They said they sent the money twice and said the money order was cashed and that is just pure BS unless someone stole it, but come on, that doesnt happen 2 times in a row (its never happened to me once).  He also tried to say it was a refund of $28 and it cost me $40.83 plus a 40 mile drive to the nearest UPS to send them back to him.  Im glad you guys love Keith so much but im just stating the facts.  I never said dont do business with the guy.

Long before I sent my car to Keith he was in touch with me about parts, value, and the work I was having done on my car (even though he was not doing the work). He has always been awesome to work with and I would recommend him to anyone. He and Kathy have taken great care of me over the years and have been quick to respond to e-mails or calls to make sure everything was taken care of.

Keith will always have my business and do the work on my cars (even though I live close to 1700 miles away). Like Travis, I believe Keith is a stand up guy who tries to make everyone happy - wether he is helping out with advice or working his butt off on your car. Not only did he have some health issues, working his other job, but he also attends many shows and has quite a few cars in there at various levels of restoration.

I hope you get positive resolution. I just wanted to show some love for the people who help keep these cars, parts, shows, and the love for the hobby going strong.

Is this the same vendor? I paid for a radiator on 11 Nov and no response to my e-mails. I'm getting nervous because i got burned a couple of times on e-Bay.

Well, I finally got the rad after 5 weeks. I hit the BTN and paid for it that evening. I waited a couple of day and E-mailed him WRT a tracking number, no response. I e-mailed him at least 5 times in the following two weeks no response. I asked him a question on one of the items he was selling on e-bay and he answered back within a couple of minutes. So, i emailed him back on the same link and asked about my rad, guess what no response. So I figured something was a little fishy and filed a claim with PayPal. He responded right away saying that he had problems with his e-mail account and could not contact me. I told him about the e-mail I sent on another item and that he responded right away. Then he changed the story saying that he had a lady working for him, that was not that reliable and he fired her two weeks ago. So, I asked why it been well over two weeks and he has not sent the rad out yet. He said that it takes up to 10 days for the money to clear his paypal account. I contacted PayPal and they told me that he withdrew the money from his paypal the very next day. Another bullshit story. Paypal put a hold on his paypal account until the issue was resolved. The rad finally showed up and was damaged. I took a few pics and sent it, showing the damage and asked for instruction on what he wanted to do to get the rad repaired. Guess what, not answering my e-mails, the paypal dispute is closed and nothing I can do about it. I dropped the rad of at a rad shop to check it out . So if he feels like chiming in, please do. I have all the e-mails.

As for this thread, wow.  I was reading all the post and thinking, to bad this is happening by what everyone is saying they seem like nice people yet I believe Charger1973.  And then your story comes by.  Geez, odd how people can build a huge bunch of satisfied customers, and then things like this happen?  If I was Charger1973 I'd have the same signature.  Love these forums.
