Hi, I'm rebuilding my front calipers and I have a service manual that is calling out to use an assembly lube as you are installing the seals and piston boot. Is this lube needed or can I use brake fluid?  :scratchchin:

I have read about brake fluid to be used there and in fact I used it
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

i have a 74 charger with front disc brakes - i need to replace the pads - how do you reomve the pads from front disc brakes??  do i need a C-clamp to push back caliper??  is there a step-by-step procedure somewhere??

If your replacing the pads, just put your flat tip screwdriver between the pad and rotor and push the piston back in to the caliper.  Remove the bolts holding the caliper and replace the pads.
