On the old and stilled beloved Charger site your 1000 post use to be something speical. Was a bite of a race to it as well. Pcyco Chyco (Neil) was the first to hit that mile mark on the old site. There was fan fair and we all got down on are kness to worship Neil the great. I was the second one to hit that mark and still fan fare, don't think anyone got on there kness, well I know my wife did not :icon_smile_big:

Now I see things like Posting Whores. I wonder if I will get a old timer or a whore next to my name. I said on the old site people that post a lot are not working on there Chargers. Well I worked on mine and it went boom. ;D

I wish all of the newer people could have seen dcommaraderie that was there. Jokes about my spelling and duumping cam 2 in the keyboard thingie to make it run faster. ;D There was lest fluff back then and we all seem to know each other. When I joined there was a whole 400 members at the old site, when it breathed it's final gasp think we where at 3000 members.

It was a big deal on New Years Eve that we hit 1000 members befor 2002.

On the old site Neil got me and blew by me with 8000 post, I was second 6800 postings and Charger Bill had 5700. Back then, postting meant you knew something, now, well bored. ;)

This is the Biggie, number 1000. Proof I am out of money, broke 440 and to much time on my hands.

Cuda Ken, the big 1000.

Ken, I thing you need something special besides 'old timer' under your screen name. :icon_smile_big: Something like 'Senior Old Timer'...or 'Ancient Old Timer'. ;D

I don't really pay much attention to post count anymore & didn't notice that I'd passed the big 1K mark until maybe 35 posts later.

Hey ChargerFan buddy, what member number are you?  i'm #68.  just wondering how far off we are.

Congrats on the 1,000th post. I know that on the old site I had hit the 1,000 post mark on two occasions.
I had just went over 1,000 post and then the site crashed. Then after the site came back up I was at 430 again. So then after many more months I past 1,000 again, only for the site to crash again. So now we are all starting over. I don't know if I"ll hit 1,000 post on this one in a year. But who knows. I know I only seem to yammer on about 500's and Daytona's anyways.

So once we get more AERO people here or topics about the AERO cars I"ll be able to add some information.

Beats me. :ahum: I can't seem to find which number I am...I see the date & time I joined, I guess I'm not very smart today. :-\   How did you find it?

I try to post if I really have an opinion or need an answer on some problem.
I don't have time to post just for the post.

Now I post-ed someting I did not need to post.
Whatever... :-\

I used 5 times 'post'  in this post. That makes 7 times  post , no 8  already  ;D

Gonna stop posting now.

Im sure if i was still working to finish my Charger i'd care allot more about the tech stuff, but my cars mostly all done and has been for 5 years,.. and my living cercumstances and priorities are ALOT different, so i look to this site as a community of like minded moparians to shoot the sheet with...  :yesnod:
I try to keep up with all the posts but i can't.  :P

I used to be envious of some of the "old timers" on the site of yore.   Now, with the new site, it kind of leveled the playing field, so-to-speak.   I never really thought any different of those who post high numbers or not- what I enjoy is the comraderie and the wealth of knowledge.

That's why I'm proud to be a member of this site.   It never was about the number of postings- it's about the folks and the smarts that they've got over me with regards to my Charger.

I learn something new every time I log on.   Either about each of you, or the Charger.

Oh- congrats CudaKen on the 1K posting.

Im not a post whore, you see.. I have been a member of this new site since it was 69.65.63.59.54.75.25.com (or something like that).
and im not even past 150, because I exercise self controll (meaning im a lazy little sh|t) and i know that if a picture is worth a thousand words, and if there are 71 words in every post, that means every picture is worth 14.08 posts. Now if you include my avitar, I have just put my post count up to 200.

It was a big deal on New Years Eve that we hit 1000 members befor 2002.

I remember that.  I was doing a mass email drive to get as many members to sign up.  Come to find out later Jesse says alot of members were using different emails accounts to pad the number. :icon_smile_big:

When I joined, ChargerBill and Captain Mopar were the bigsticks.  My how the more things change, the more they stay the same. :icon_smile_wink:

I think those post count numbers have caused more trouble than what they are worth. Seems on every board at some point in time, some equate knowledge, intelligence, or worldliness to the number of posts one has. One should actually view the person's online personality and what they have to offer as opposed to the number of posts they have. Also look at the duration that a person has been around. Its easy to sort out the value and the chaff.
