Still depressed about the lost of my best friend I try to pick up life bit by bit.

I was wondering what Mopar Meeting (for 2006) is a must to visit.
That means I gonna need to plan my first holiday to the US.

Any tips?
Thanks

Well theres always the The Dodge Charger Meet . Usually there are shows in different cities across the country , but supposedly I hear that they are going to make it One national meet for 2006  instead of a bunch and are expecting many Chargers since it its the 25th anniversary of the registry. You can probably find the info for in at http://www.dodgechargerregistry.com/index.htm . Last summer I went to the meet In Beorne, Texas and there was a little over a 100 chargers there.

You will need to be a member of the Registry to enter the 2006 meet. I just got the packet on it and it is going to be in Jefferson City, MS. Wayne is hoping for 500-600 Chargers.

In my opinion there are 2 shows that definately seperate themselves from the other shows.
If I had to choose only one show to go to next year it would definately be the All Chrysler's at Carlisle PA.
The other choice would be the Mopars at the Strip in Las Vegas.
Next on the list would be the Monster Mopar Weekend in St. Louis Missouri.

If I had to make a top 5 list I'm still not sure I'd include the Mopar Nationals until they get more organized.

I went to Chryslers at Carlisle and the Mopar Nationals this year. I honestly liked Carlisle better even though I live closer to the Nats. I hear the Mopars at the Strip show is good too but it's a bit of a drive for me (Las Vegas). I hadn't heard anything about the Registry meet yet. I'd like to have some sort of presence for the site at all the big shows (tent, booth, or just a central meeting point). Hopefully we'll be more organized by then.

I've only been to Carlisle and have a really great time.

A bit closer to my home is the Mopar Atlantic Nationals at Englishtown, NJ
Usually held in mid-May

Spring Fling in Van Nuys, CA is a good show too. See some really rare stuff there (never been to Carlisle yet though).  Actually, there isnt much of a Charger showing there.  ALOTof E-bodies.  I hear its basically a re-located Mopars at the Strip, Spring Fling re-located to Vegas actually I guess since its been around longer.

Chrysler's at Carlisle is actually called the Chrysler Nationals. If you want to spend an entire 72 hours just trying to soak up all the incredible Mopars on the planet, then Carlisle is your place. It is by far the greatest show on earth, and is only growing in strength. They do have a track a few miles from the fairgrounds, so at night you can check that out. It's also a place that many members here will be gathering again next year.

If you want to go to a show searching through un-organized cars and want to spend a few hours watching racing, then the Mopar Nats are the next best thing. It's been the big Mopar show for years, but not anymore.

Mopars at the strip is still young, and from what I have been told has already peaked. If I'm in Vegas, a Mopar show is second fiddle compared to the Vegas experience.

Plus the show is well organized, plenty of bathrooms unlike the other shows, large selection of food , and as Chris mentioned, more Mopars than you can possible look at in 3 days, never mind the HUGE swap meet area.

Troy, you did not give your opinion on Monster Mopar in StLouis.  It was down this year from previous, but still a decent show.

I'd say MATS in Vegas just because its in a "destination" city. So much to do there after the show - wish id gone last year.

In a word...................CARLISLE!!!!!!! Great cars, great swap meet, well organized, easy parking, cheap admission. Bring a cooler and stock it well. Summer in Pa can be quite hot.

If you have to travel that far and can only choose one, then Carlisle is it, hands down!!! It's gotten so big, you can't see it all in three days anymore. And unlike the Nats, it's organized, so you can pick and choose what you want to see and spend your time there.
