Anybody know anything about this beast? Was it built for the movie or is it an existing vehicle used on the set?

I apologize in advance to those of you who consider discussing up-to-the -second information as some sort of religion but give me a break, I just saw the movie last night on DVD. It was pretty good.

Shakey

I saw the most recent Bataman movie on the flight to Seattle a couple weeks back.  Good movie and the car was awesome.  As far as where it came from -  :shruggy:

All kinds of hollywood magic in that one but none of it is computer generated  :icon_smile_cool:

That's pretty interesting.

I was a little disappointed about the style of the car. While it is a cool looking machine, it doesn't really look like a 'Batmobile' to me. :(

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Here's some more info, quite funny how they started the design of it.

I couldn't agree more.

Looks like they put some sprint car and 4x4 pickup truck tires on a Stealth fighter?!

I wasn't disappointed at all. After all the other sexy but phony Batmobiles it is a nice change.

Afflyer

Looks like a farm tractor from back home in Indiana that took lots of bad steroids and human growth hormones to me.

When I first saw the production photos of this car before the movie, I thought it was terrible.  When I watched the movie, though, I realized that this was really the only type of design that actually fit the story well.  It makes sense for the movie.  I can't see Tim Burton's batmobile crashing through concrete barriers.

THE CHARGER PUNK

a guy in my town designed the new batmobile and made 5 fully driveable units of them 4 black and the one camo around 6 am they were going to airport to be sent to filiming location and were being escorted by 4 cop cars and out of nowhere 4 drunk mexicans hammered into the 5th batmobile in the line and crunching it a bit. they got out and thought they were under attack by aliens.so they were charged with d.u.i.,no drivers license, grand theft auto, being illegal aliens and destruction of public property so to say they will never be allowed to be in north america again-MATT

p.s. the cars were made from combined parts of hummer H2's and lamborghini countaches(so they were fairly exspensives units).

Right... To me that was the deal. They took the concept of the Batmobile from a sleek sports car to a monster SUV
Just in style for the year 2005...

I agree, It was a nice change. Dark & angry, like the storyline. Not cartoonish, like the Tim Burton movies. :icon_smile_big:
