Just wondering if any members on the forum have used this method or known anyone who has. I know its been around for awhile but never heard of it used for body work and rust repair. Looks interesting but from what ive read some people have some concerns about corrosion of the zinc used and paint bubbling down the road down the road. I saw some pictures of a window channel that was severely rotted on a GTO and reconstructed in 8 hours using this and it looked like new $400 later. 2 years and its still holding good. Ive only heard good things about it. Obviously not many shops do it but if you can find one that does it and can afford it Id go for it.

From what this guy paid for that window channel work it looks like its very reasonable as far as price unless your local shop is a rip off artist. Im just a little skeptical on the long term results. I have a few spots on my Pontiac that id like to try this on. Its not a trailer queen and will see some elements from time to time.

They only guarantee no rust for 5 years. If you replaced the metal, you'd get results for much longer, IMO.

Interesting method but have no experience with it. I would think zinc would be a corrosion free material to use but again I have no experiance with it.  Good luck.

I thought the same thing myself. You would think zinc is more corrosion resistant than steel. Its used as a coating on steel to protect it from rust on bridges and stuff.  Im going to talk to a few body experts in the area and see what there opinions are on this and maybe try to follow up on some peoples projects who have used this. I think its a good concept and will probably catch on in time, just everyone being a little skeptical like myself being a fairly new idea.
