E-Brake help needed.

Took out the E Brake Pedal today.  Which is an interesting process to say the least.

Overall the hardware looks good but ...
1. The handle shaft is bent
2. The black plastic thing that holds the spring in place is almost gone.

Questions:

1. What shape is the shaft suppose to be?  Straight?
2. Where can I get a new plastic thing or is there a creative way to fix this?

As far as I know there are no other options for the plastic retainer other than used.  I will find you a pic of the rod from mine.  Not sure it is correct, but I think it is.

Any clip that will hold the spring back will be functional.
