Complete Daytona Nose Kit

As I have now started my Daytona clone project, I was wondering if anyone sold a complete nose assembly? To clarify, I have the hood and fenders but need everything else to convert the front of my 69 Charger to a Daytona.

Is it cheaper to buy piece meal or everything as a kit?

Thanks,
Al

The only guy out there that can get you absolutely everything that you need to assemble a nose is Mike G. at Dayclona. And, his stuff is the best by far.
Everyone else just claims to have a complete kit. At this time there are no actual complete kits available anywhere.

I became a Dayclona fan the day I received my first shipment of parts. It's kind of nice having good parts around here for a change.
If I had it to do all over again, I would use all Dayclona parts on both cars.
You should see the superbird nose that he sent me a couple of weeks ago.
It's the nicest fiberglass nose that I've seen yet.

The biggest problem I see with a steel nose is if it was damaged, it would difficult if not impossible to repair.
The fiberglass version could be in multiple pieces and still be repaired.  :Twocents:

well my superbird nose was demolished at one time and bondo'ed up when i got it , then when we restored it was hammered out and looks great now !

steel is the way to go it was/is good enought for the original cars , it's good enought for my clone !  :Twocents: :Twocents:     IMHO   but to each his own

Jack is one of the best wingcar fab guys bar none, but I don't think that he provides every part necessary to build a complete clone.
I could be wrong and my apologies to Jack if that has changed.
Mike G. and Jack M. are the only two guys that I know of that could possibly ship you a complete ready to bolt on nose assembly. For a price of course.
Someone like myself could do that but with the double shipping costs (parts to me and then to end user), I would think that it would be more cost effective to buy from the source.

I know Gean personally. He does build several nice parts. In fact, I own many of his parts. Some of his parts he purchases from other vendors, marks them up and re-sells them. I try to go directly to the source if possible. Seems like he was buying his headlamp buckets and z-braces from Ron Knifley. spelling?

I think Jack M, may be able to repair that wrecked nose, but it will likely require a new top panel.
I just hope they saved the dice painted on the headlight doors.
It would be a shame to lose such a valuable part of that cars personality!

I knew Dean back in the mid 1980s, but did not know that he has been restoring wing cars...

I went to a couple of his MMCI Regional Meets in Centralia, and have pictures somewhere in the archives of an orange (?) Superbird that was still owned by a dealership IIRC with very low miles.  I believe the dealership was in Nebraska...
