pink and white wire from hazzard switch

Almost done with my new harness.
I need to know what the pink wire and the white wire that come off the hazzard switch are for. It looks like the pink is hot and the white ties into the brake switch but thats just a guess.
Also if Anyone could explain how The hazzard switch and brake switch interconnect.
I know if the the flashers are on and I hit the brakes the lights are supposed to stay on instead of flash but I'm not clear on how to wire them.

I see the diagrams for 70 & 71 are a little different than yours... same end result, their just routed differently.

hazzard flasher is feeded from batt side of fuse box with a black wire, then a pink wire coming out from other prong of hazzard flasher runs up to steering column switch. When you turn on hazzard, the flasher is loaded with power to all bulbs around ( tan, light green what are fronts, and dark green and brown what are rears ), causing heat and cutting the bimetallic element inside flasher, then gets instantly cold and feeds bulbs untill get hot again and goes on cutting and releasing power as far gets hot and cold...

brake light pink wire is spliced from the same hazzard black wire ( constant batt power ), up to brake pedal switch, then becomes in white wire up to steering column, feeding just the rear bright lights ( dark green and brown wires ). This wires are normally "linked" to the brake white wire coming from brake pedal switch inside column switch so when you press pedal allways get rear brights working

notes:

-when you turn on hazzards, all turning and brake lights function are CUT, just hazzards works. This si just on 70 and laters... earliers are not on this way

-when turn on some turning light, brakes still works to the opposite side, just the turning side is cut.
