Can I just line up the serrations on the pitman arm with the splines on the steering gear and just tighten the nut down? Is there any specific instructions on installing a new pitman arm? I've got a reconditioned steering gear and a new pitman arm. The steering column is already installed except for the roll pin, I just have to knock that in. I just wanted to make sure I don't have to do any adjustments before I install the roll pin.

I would think yes.  I don't know of any reasons otherwise.  I'm not an expert on this but I have mounted a few and don't recall any special procedures?
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

make sure the box is centered and the wheel is centered.

No other part of the steering linkage is hooked up now. I have the steering column in the car rebuilt and bolted into the interior. The only thing I haven't done was to drive in the roll pin on the shaft because I thought I might have to do some kinda of adjustments. In the car the steering wheel is on and it is pointed straight ahead centered. Does that mean the steering box is centered?

the pitamn arm should be in the middle of its travel...the stering wheel straight ahead...and the front wheels pointed straight ahead, when all is hooked up

the pitman arm only goes on one way as there is a indexing notch in the splines on th box & arm  .... same as on the column & steering wheel  :yesnod:
