Holley extension lever

I always thought that my extension lever p/n 20-7 for my Holley 750 vac sec. wasn't installed  right, so I double checked it (read the instruction and it refers to the two bolts that should be fastened to the carb lever. Problem is, the holes do not match up. Has anybody had to drill out a new hole on the carb side lever (upper part) so the holes line up.

 I installed mine a few weeks ago, the holes lined up fine. Course mines a 670.
