Still doing research and I ran across this on the ASC website..

After doing sample sunroof installations on five Ford Thunderbirds, Prechter got his first big break in 1967. ASC launched its first major program installing 500 electrically powered sunroofs in the 1968-model Mercury Cougar XR-7. Unfortunately, that project was interrupted by a strike. Shortly thereafter, however, Prechter went to Chrysler and started a program with the 1968 Dodge Charger. And from there he went to General Motors and convinced Cadillac to have sunroofs. With the Big Three as its customers, ASC prospered. The sunroof changed the face of the auto industry forever. Open-air driving made the automobile special and the occupants feel even more so.

Here is the website:

I talked to ASC a few years ago, not much luck there either. I have found ASC sunroofs in:

Porche 356
240 Z
Cougar
Mopars
The Caddy is a new one for me, some use different size panels. Some share many componants but the are variations.

You might be on to something here.  Keep digging...your car may be the rarest of the rare  :2thumbs:

You should maybe contact the Mopar Collector's Guide, they often print short articles about such finds and who knows, some reader might have been an employee back in the day!

Good luck, would be an awesome story!
