picked up this carb at junkyard today, is it any good-worth using?

picked up this Carter AFB competion series carb today at a local junkyard.. it was on a 74 truck with a 318.  looks like it has a somewhat universal application due to 2 mounting holes on each corner. part number looks like 9605s. any chance this would work good on a stock 340? primarys are smallish like the thermoquad on my 340 right now, but the secondaries are a lot smaller.

#9605 is a 600 cfm universal, should work good on a 340.

i agree, it should be a good carb for a mildly built 340/360.

 I like a spread bore for the bottom end my self. If it works I would say good score.

I have 2 of them already   this one looked real clean.  the truck had just been dragged out into the yard within the last 72 hours. at $15, i figured i couldnt go wrong. it also had a weiand intake on it that i thought about grabbing,  but passed on, at least for today.

it is worth approx $15 , 20 tops , I hate them but it will work , Like Natcho said the TQ is a far better carb
