Not a bad looking car. But if its anything like what they take to car shows around here, it will never see the light of day in a production company. I don't see how it would be powered by only 30 batteries though, and still have a range of 300km though.

That's a nice looking car, but the 700 HP rating seems pretty optimistic. Tesla Motors has an electric car for sale already that can go 0 to 60 in under 4 seconds, rated at around 248 HP, with a top speed of 125 MPH. Not as nice as the 700 HP British one, but a shitload nicer than what's been available so far.

those are both cars that I would love to drive! Kinda silly to pass someone on the highway and you aren't making any noise...

I've been keeping an eye on Tesla Motors for quite a while now and I'm impressed but disappointed with the lack of progress toward real marketing. IMO, both companies are going to sit and spin until they build something more practical than a two-seater hot rod. It's a great rolling billboard but how many people can spend $100k on a roadster? Any roadster, electric or not? They've got to produce something the average Joe can afford to buy and haul his wife and kids around or it's nothing more than a gimmick.

Speaking of which, there was a news story here in Portland a few days ago talking about a new electric station in town where you can plug your car in to get it charged. No one could find anything to plug into it but hey, we have a station now. :2thumbs:

it reminds me of the Callaway C-12/16 Corvette crossed with the Fisker karma hybred...

BTW: Tesla has been working on a sedan Electric for a couple years now,..
I think their hands are full with the sports cars roll out and they've been having some legal difficulties too.
from wikipedia

"In March 2008 it was announced that Tesla had filed a lawsuit against Fisker Automotive, saying that Henrik Fisker "stole design ideas and confidential information related to the design of hybrid and electric cars". Tesla hired Fisker to design the WhiteStar sedan but decided against the design as it was, according to Tesla chairman Elon Musk, "substandard".

Also in March 2008, Magna International filed a lawsuit against Tesla claiming that it was never paid for services rendered. Tesla hired Magna to help design a 2-speed transmission for its Roadster (a transmission they decided not to use)."

The top grey car reminds me of the closed-top version from that "Viper" TV series.
