Depends on whether its day or night.

In college and for a few years afterward, I had very bad problems with insomnia.  I could sleep two, maybe three hours a night so usually around 2 AM, I'd go out to my Jeep and drive for 3 or 4 hours just driving and thinking (a girlfriend of mine called it roaching because I always was out at night like the roaches).  I refined my driving music tremendously dring that time.

At night I like a lot of chill trance or other  ethereal slower instrumental stuff.  I also like Tangerine Dream, Air, and Moby.  Some of the best night driving songs I have found are  "Love on a Real Train" by Tangerine Dream and "SIgns of Love" by Moby.
I ain't got time for pain, the only pain I got time for is the pain i put on fools how don't know what time it is.

I didn't think anyone else on here knew who Tangerine Dream were, let alone listen to them.

In the 55' it's strictly oldies.  American Graffiti soundtrack is the best probably and has the most desirable songs with least amount of having to worry about changing tapes..

In the Charger, I never even turn the radio on.

Anything daily it's usually newer rock on WTOS 105.1(you can stream it if you want to take a listen  www.wtosfm.com) and also cause they play a lot of OZZY.
or late 60's, 70's rock on another station.
If it's a CD, it's usually anything OZZY, Sabbath or even DMB.
But hell if it's a CD I really like a ton of stuff so I won't go there.  There is a thread on here of greatest songs and I threw an extensive list out there, do a search and you'll find it.
Actually more than one music thread on here for sure.

At home , it gets crazy when people get here cause I have sooo much music.  Anything from Patsy Cline, Hank Williams Jr, to Megadeth, Accept, Krokus, Iron Maiden, Kansas, PF, and always a few Doors songs, as well as that old Rob Base DJ EZ rock tape, The Gap Band and even Sisqo music gets pretty popular.  The night usually ends up with me doing some Elvis impersonations, but only after I have performed an air guitar concert with lyrics to at least 3 Ozzy songs, which are most likely Mr Crowley, Suicide solution, and Diary of a Madman.

I could go on for days but you get the idea.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Tigger

Couple of mine are:
Tony macalpine-hundreds of thousands
Fastway-all fired up
Metal Church-start the fire
Rob Zombie-feel so numb
Nuclear Assault-something wicked

It all has to do with what mood i'm in when i drive.

Rev on the Red Line -  by  Foreigner

Two in a row, everybody knows
At the green light you rev it on the red line
Been waitin' all week to get my
wheels on the street
Get my hands on the wheel,
slide down in the seat

She's wearin' new colors and
runnin' pretty good
I got four hundred horses
tucked under the hood
But there's no need to
panic, it's under control
We're aerodynamic and ready to roll

Rev on the red line
You're on your own
Rev on the red line
Just let it go

Runnin' all night on Lake Avenue
It's a piece of cake
If you know what to do
You've got to lose a few
'Til the stakes get high
When the odds are right
You just blow by

And make no mistake, there's
women who just wait
For the man and machine with the best time

Rev on the red line
You're on your own
Feels like a lifetime
But soon you'll know

Wasn't long ago I could've lost my wheels
Had to outrun the law, it was no big deal
I guess they had a grudge, they
were hot on my tracks
I had to pay off the judge to
get my license back
Now I need to pin those needles,
got to feel that heat
Hear my motor screamin' while I'm
tearin' up the street

Rev on the red line
You're on your own
Rev on the red line
Just let it go

Rev on, rev on
Rev on, rev on

Don't think I'll ever learn to slow down
Rev on, you'll still be here and I'll be gone
Rev on, rev on

Ok with me it changes from time to time, but the last long trip I took (3200km long) I continuously listened to the Dropkick Murphy's - Warrior Code album.
