Apparently, his mom owned a 1973 Charger SE!!! But, his brother who got it after she died, just sold it. DAMNT!!!! :'( :'( :brickwall:

It was bright blue, black or blue interior, and had a 400 or 440. He wasnt sure about the enigne or interior color. He also said he pulled the six pack setup from a 1971 in a junkyard, and mated it to the engine when he was 17. A SIX PACK 1973. :D

When you don't even know if it had a 400 or 440 or even if the interior was black or blue then you can't expect too many details. :D

Just FYI WingCharger: a Six Pack (from a 71) won't fit on a 400. That's a 'B' (short deck) engine like the 383 and the Six Pack only came (stock) on the 440 which is an "RB" (tall deck).

A 73 Charger SE isn't exactly a special car - you should find out where that 71 went to! :2thumbs:

I was thinking that a six pack setup wouldnt fit on a 400 when he told me about it. I just figured it must have been a 440. The 71 was in a scrap yard near his house as a kid, and is now a strip mall. :'(

Comparatively speaking. Didn't they make more SEs in 73 than anything else? Certainly less than Six Pack cars in 71. I have a 318/auto which was the most produced combination of all 68s. I don't consider it all that special and neither do many other people. Is that wrong?

Don't you find it odd that the "Special Edition" is the most prolific model? According to a link posted elsewhere, 57,000 of the 107,000 Chargers in 1973 were "Special Edition" models. If it were proven to be a big block car (especially a 440) then maybe I'd see it differently - but I'd still prefer the 71 Six Pack car.

This pic was sent to me from folks I know in Texas.   My step brother told me it's a Kinko's store manager, (Fed Ex pilot) or was it a professional tire kicker hauling a ladder in the DFW area.

Maybe they had a different sort of "Special" in mind that year?
