I Need help with a carb linkage problem. I have a 70 charger wiht a 440 4-speed. The intake is a cast 69  the carb if an after market Holley 750 vaccume secondaries and electronic choke. I have tried to make a bracket to hold the throttle cable but even if I do that my stock throttle cable is to shot and will not let the carb return all the way back to idle. there is also not enough travel in the stock cable to fully open the carb. I think my holly carb is a 4160 model and I see that JEGS sells a throttle bracket and cable that is supposedly suposed to fix this problem. Has anyone used it? any ideas and picswill be greatly appreciated. Thanks Troy

I stopped spending money on $30-100+ cable kits,
if you need just the cable inside, then go to your local Lowe's or hardware store and buy the cable, thread it through the old line and link it however much or however long you need.
If you need the sleeve as well, hit your local bike parts store and pick up as much as you need.

Troy, you need a throttle adapter to get the correct travel ratio. Holley pn 20-7...get one !  ;)

Thanks aifilaw the cable is fine just not the correct stroke. I will try that firefighter, but I also reaal would just rather buy a bracket to hold the cable in place rather than make one. Any sugestions on this?  also would you have a pic so I could see how it will work or how to hook it up? Mine is a 4-speed so I dont need anything for a kickdown cable. Thanks for the help

Troy, check on the Mancini website....they sell all kinds of throttle cable brackets. Order the 20-7 adapter while you're at it.
