Daytona R/T SE

I like it...But you're going to need four more hub caps... ;)

....In the movie the Charger lost a total of eight hubcaps in the chase

Well I feel old (er) now. I actually like the hub-cap set up vs. the 500 style wheels.
Man, your charger is sweet looking......Great job you should be proud of your accomplishment.  :2thumbs:

Mark

While I like the 500's  it is a rare and refreshing change to see hubcaps on theold Chargers. Frankie still has his hubcaps. I am gonna leave them on him. I bought a set of 500's a few years ago for Frankie from Rick K and then decided not to use them and go with the caps.

Well? What do you think? I picked up the new tires while at Carlisle. They Are for the Bullitt photo shoot in September and blasted and painted a set of 14" wheels.

I got them on today, and am getting closer to being ready.

Special thanks to Paul (69OUR/TEA) for the use of the VERY nice condition hub caps!!Thanks Paul!!

MAN, AMAZING!

I'm jealous!

One important thing: The front bumperettes were NOT on the Charger in Bullitt!

Do you have the reproduction RDR838-plates? There was this Mustang-guy who sold them, I'm sure I'll find his adress, he sold them for like 17 bucks each I think!

The other thing is the swaybar which is one of my next projects, too. I already painted it flat black but I'm not sure what it looked like originally? Anyone?

Don't worry about the size of the white stripes on the tires! They used 2 Chargers in the movie, the one that was crashed in the end had really thin white stripes and the other car had special tires I have never seen anywhere else: They had three thin white stripes which looked like one thicker stripe in most shots. Almost like the tires you have on your car now!

I'm really looking forward to see the outcome!

Honestly as cool as it would be to have an exact Bullitt Charger clone , thats just not what its about for me .

My Charger has red interior etc and wont be Exact. Just trying to make it look similer for the shoot.

looks great! now you need to find a mustang to chase  ;D

Or to get chased by?  :D

I think it's time to rewrite history, chase that Mustang!  It would be the shortest chase in history as that Mustang wouldn't make it 1 block before the Charger caught it   The car looks sweet :2thumbs:

Yeah, I understand that, but it's only 4 bolts to get rid of the bumperettes, they'll be back on after the shoot within seconds!

However, I never talked to anybody who ever noticed the lack of bumperettes in Bullitt, so you'll be okay   :2thumbs:

FastbackJon

I didn't notice the bumperettes, but I did notice the whtie walls, as the other guy said, they seem too wide.

And yes, RDR 838 plates are a must!
