Holy crap!!   :scared:

Even though I don't see any Mopars in that pic, that's still a very sad sight...that's a lot of neat old iron (& fiberglass) all twisted & bent there. :cryin:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Brock Samson

 WOW!! 17 cars?..  :o
I only count 8 cars in that pic..   :-[

Can you name them?..   :rotz:

2) 63-67 Vette's (coupe & convert)
3) 68-83 Vette's
2) 67-68 Cramaro's
1) 67-68 Firechicken
1) 70 Mustang

How'd I do? :)

sorry about the hijack ::)

Brock Samson

no hijack in progress,.. just an unexpected development...

thanks so much for the link, the remarks below the pics are facinating!!!

I don't care so much for exact I.D.s on the cars, but the mustang i belive is a '70 which used be driven by George Fullmore (sp?).. firechicken is '69...

(btw: lola t-70s are in abundance in the first group photos....

Charger_Fan

You're right about the Firechicken, I didn't make out the pointy, scooped T/A hood.
Man, that's enough to make a guy cry! :bawling:
I can only hope that most of those cars were clones & not the real thing.

That orange (68,69,70?) Vette didn't come out well at all.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Brock Samson

no clones all, those   :rotz:  are the real historic Trans American "USA/Canada"  and A-class production racers from back in the day, (68-70, some safety upgrades and new motors for racing...
Usually Sam Poseys sub-lime Chally T/A and Dan Gurneys' AAR make that field... no sign of them though.  :yesnod: i also didn't see the John Greenwood stars and stripes Vette which was a major player back then, being capable of speeds well  in excess of 200 MPH with it's ZL-1 427 and Bat-mobile body work.

Charger_Fan

That's it, I'm now crying in my beer. :cryin:

That's terrible.
