Well long story short, the stroker that I had built last summer had some issues caused by the shop that assembled the short block.

They had the pistons swapped from side to side which placed the valve reliefs on the lower half of the pistons instead the top half where the valves are at. The intake valves where actually just barley hitting the pistons  :brickwall:  :smash:

So, I got me a Muscle Motors 493, Which I had them bring to Carlisle

The new one is a 493 with the following:

Forged KB stroker pistons
Comp xe285hl hyd. Cam Thanks Ron!! (firefighter3931)
Eddy heads
Eddy rpm intake
415 stroke

The Cool bonus of it all was when I got it, I looked at the pad and its a 67 hp block!  :coolgleamA:

Here are some pics from along the way.

Looking good Brian.  :2thumbs: I bet it's a lot  quieter without the valves crashing into the pistons....no more diesel rattle.  ;)

Once it's broken in i'm sure you'll be quite happy. The new XE cam is a step up from the old Magnum grind and the headwork should pay dividends as well.  :icon_smile_big:

Another perfect Job by Da man.  I did mine single stage with hardener also.  I had to torch an exhaust stud to remove it, I had the blue flame dead on the fresh orange paint and it didn't turn brown or anything.  That stuff is great and should hold up well on the valve covers near the high po exhaust manifolds ( or Headers  :icon_smile_big: ).  Another awesome job kiddo. :icon_smile_tongue:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.
