Anyone else ever do this?

Say for example, you plug in your destination in your GPS.  It maps it out & gives you an estimated arrival time of say 7:38pm....cruise along at 75-80 mph for a while then it says arrival time---7:37pm.....yeah! That's what I'm talkin' about!   :nixon:

Now you get stuck in traffic......finally clears and it gives you an arrival time of 7:46PM....CRAP!!!

Screw that!  I'm driving 90+ now to "make up time"!!!  Gotta get back down to at least my original arrival time....

I do it ALL the time & my wife hates it & thinks I'm nuts :rotz:

Do it all the time...ive got a Nuvi and it seems driving 75-80 gets me there on its correct arrival time...so if i beat it im always happy  :2thumbs:

Nope can't say that I do that. Although I do race against the estimated times from mapquest all of the time on long trips. Its pretty routine to beat those by a good 30 minutes or so. Especially if the  trip is longer than 250 miles.

Not fair Danny......race your Garmin, I dare ya

ha that's funny i do the same thing.. mine is programmed for 60 mph, so it's usually easy to beat, especially in non traffic or over a long trip

I don't have one. I barely got my first cell phone 7 months ago. :nana:

And if I gave it up tomorrow, I wouldn't really miss it. :icon_smile_tongue:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

What, you're in no hurry to order beer & pizza while on the run? You should get a newer phone though, that one is a bit too big for your pocket.

I carry it in it's own little (ok, large) backpack. :nana:
That reminds me, I need to snip my nosehairs again. :icon_smile_big:

Well I would race the Garmin though if I had one Chris. But as of yet, haven't found a reason to get rid of the good old road atlas that has been in the car for probably 15 years now. It has never failed to get me where I'm going to yet.

aside from one guy, do you all do it in your modern cars or in your chargers? just curious!

My brother and I used to clock each other around town, seeing who to can get to school faster for an example. It wasn't really about breaking the speed limit though, more of which route we took.

It has to be a "guy" thing...I can't see my bride doing that. As I don't have one (I always know where I'm going ) I can't say for certain if I would do it, but it sounds like fun.

And you are nuts! Hell, all husbands are (but it is not our fault)!  :icon_smile_wink:
