hi - does anybody have a better picture of bracket screwed on frt bumper??  i forgot how this is screwed onto top of the front bumper.  thanks

Nacho-RT74

not a pic, but easy to answer... use a fastener ( C or U or J clip, dunno remmeber the specific one ) on brackets and then the bolt throught the eyelet hole on bumper. as far I remember, the bolt fits from bottom to top

the bracket does not lay flat on the bumper piece - it is on a angle - it is hard to get the screw through.

Nacho-RT74

yes is not flat, is angled... some tricky... tab on bumper must be angled too

tab on bumper is not angled - it is straight - i sent bumper out for re-chrome - not sure if they sent me another bumper or they straightened out the tab??

Nacho-RT74

eeehm... could it be any of both options. Straightened tab vertical or horizontal? any of both options is easy to fix with a plyers. That tab is not hard to bend. I hope is horizontal, because if they put vertical is lot to bend on its original position and will be easy to break.

71 bumpers and I think 72s too are with a flat vertical tab surface, like a reinforcement since bracket as far I remember attachs diff. Thats what I remember right now

maybe i will use a longer screw and leave it in the same position.

thanks - i will try to bend the tabs up - i guess i need to be careful i don't break them - i hope the chrome does not come off.  it was tough putting the front bumper back on - for some reason one side of car was off a littler and had to use clamps to get the bolts back in - not sure why that happened.

Nacho-RT74

crhome will hols... is not that much what you have to bend...
